Cary Grant more than any other actress or actor
had style. Whether that style was the real Cary or something he was clever enough to develop in
himself, is not important. The suave humor which he gave all his roles whether comic or otherwise
endeared him to fans everywhere and from what I can tell will live on into the future. When you
contrast his work in "Topper" with "An Affair to Remember" you see his style in both, of course, but he turns
from a funny lover in Topper to a thoroughly romantic one in An Affair. Alfred Hitchcock got his humor
in "To Catch a Thief" and his unhumorous side in "Suspicion." Both classics.
