       pink floyd was never the same after syd lost his marbles.  i would put piper at the gates as their best studio work for what it was.  off the wall nutzer music.  they still remained an outstanding band for years after than albeit not the same band.  waters and gilmour made the band what it was and i do think that they deserve spots on the best 100 albums.  glaring omission is obviously the delecate sound of thunder.  not only floyd's best album, but possibly the best live album ever recorded.
