Brett Favre

       At this point, it is difficult to tell whether Brett Favre has really, really retired from football or not.  His luster as a quarterback has certainly faded as exhibited by his play in the last year, probably due to the numerous injuries his poor body has sustained over his 20 year career, mostly with the Green Bay Packers.  In that 20 year career, Favre missed only one game and that was last year when he supposedly retired for good.  We'll see.  One is never sure with Brett.  He genuinely loves the game.  He is the only quarterback ever to have thrown the football over 70,000 yards.   He gets pounded and thinks nothing of getting up and going for the goal.  I do hope for his body's sake that he really does retire this year, certainly not for the sake of football or his millions of fans.  If you never had the pleasure of seeing his impeccable imitation of the Bronco's John Elway, you have missed one of his greatest performances.
