Donald Bradman

For any Americans wondering who on Earth this
guy is, I do seriously recommend trying to find out more about him and a good place to start is by typing in
"cricket test batting averages histogram" into Google Images. To put his acheviements into context you would
know about, it would be like somebody coming along and having a batting average of just shy of .400. But even
better than that. Because with my limited baseball experience I know that not everybody sees the baseball
batting averages as the best measure of ability, but in cricket everybody agrees that the averages system is
the best.
So when you next have a spare ten minutes,
look Donald Bradman up. And prepare to be amazed.

This site seems to be dominated by Americans
who probably dont know to much about cricket.I tell you now ,no other batsman even comes close to this man.If
a batsman scores 100 runs in an innings,it is seen as a great achievement in a match. If you ever watch a game
and a batsman scores 100 runs(a century). That batsman will always acknowledge it by raising his bat or
celebrating in some way.Don bradman AVERAGED 99.94 runs for his whole test career.Sachin Tendulkar who is
regarded as the second best batsman of all time averages in the 50's.No other person mentioned in this list
is so far ahead of second place. It is ridiculous that he is not number one.I can only think it is because of
the voters lack of knowledge on the game of cricket.Just to compare ,it would be like Michael Jordan scoring
an average of 50-60 points in every game he played as a professional. What bradman did borders on the
impossible.

World's greatest ever cricketer and
athlete.
Some will say cricket isn't mainstream but it
is the passion of many colonial countries with India's fanatical cricket fans alone having a population of
over one billion people.
England, Australia, India, Pakistan, South
Africa, New Zealand, and the West Indies are the main players.
Clearly a world game on population alone, to
rise to the top of such a huge base of participants bears comparison with any sportsman, any sport,
anywhere.
Donald Bradman rose to the top of the game with
a statistically clear superiority approximately twice as good as his nearest opponents.
The best of the rest, considered greats, amongst millions who have played, averaged around 50 runs an innings.A good
international representative, but not great player, would average around 40.
Bradman averaged 99.
Is there any other athlete, in any other sport,
anywhere, anytime whose record so clearly shows them to be the best that no argument is ever tendered or
submitted?
No.Other athletes are better than their peers
by margin, legend, or myth.
Bradman was twice as good as anyone else before
or since....by legend... and by hard statistics.
