       The second greatest golfer ever is 2nd and the greatest golfer ever is 32nd. I won't complain too much though, as I did believe with absolute conviction that Wood would smash Nicklaus' record, but the wheels did come off spectacularly, didn't they

       Jack Nicklaus ,AKA The Golden Bear ,together with Arnie Palmer did more for golf and the PGA than any players before them.  Jack particularly paved the way for Tiger Woods and other present greats of  golf.  He won 18 major championships, more than any player before or since and that record is unlikely to be broken.  When Jack Nicklaus was eligible to join the Champions Tour (for those over the age of fifty) he went on and won 8 majors in that league.  He still plays golf occasionally, but mostly devotes his time to designing diabolical golf courses for his fellow professionals all over the globe.  The game of golf and golfers everywhere will never forget the Golden Bear and what he did for the game (and for the bank accounts of all winners and even those in the top 10 of every tour game).
