Secretariat

       Secretariat was amazing!  Are you kidding me?  He did, for horse racing, what no human has ever done for any sport.  There was never an athlete like this horse, and there never will be again.  Imagine, running a mile and a quarter -- and running each quarter faster than the one before.  Imagine beating your competition by 31 lengths in ANY race.  That's a greater achievement than 12 under par in a golf match, boys and girls.  Or 100 points in a single basketball game.  He did it all, he did it better, faster, and purer than any other athlete.  He ran because he loved to.  They didn't call him Super Horse for nothing!  Anatomically, perfect.  Gorgeous coat, buldging muscles, bright eyes, yep -- this was the horse that god built.  He was astounding, just standing still.  And when he ran -- breathtaking.  Not only that, but he was smart.  And fearless.  No athlete has delighted and excelled in a sport the way that Secretariat did.  Take a look at his Belmont race.  Can you spell "p-e-r-f-e-c-t-i-o-n"?  It starts with an "S"!

       Secretariat is number 1 in my book and if you don't think that he is a true athlete than you are a stupid moron who needs to go back to school. because he is by far the greatest athlete in the entire world.

       Let's see great athlete?  Yes!  He was paid only with oats and hay.  He had no scandal attached to him.  Never went on strike to demand more money.  He had beauty, grace and speed.  He was the best of the best.  Should have been number 1.

       Saying that Secretariat is just a horse and nothing else is a moron way of looking at this.  That is llke saying Jordan was a basketball player and nothing else....Best atheletes mean that they are the best in their sport.  Secretariat was the best horse at racing.

       Ur so stupid if u think secretariat is number 44 cuzz he won the triple crown nd woon belmont stakes by 31 lenghts nd did u no tht the normal weight for a horses heart is 8 to 14 pounds well secretariats heart weighed 22 pounds so that proves how secretariat should be number 1.

       Hay, if u think that this sport is about the people, your wrong. The people are like the side salad, id like to see u try to run 45 miles an hour with an 100 pound peron on your back, what you cant do it, oh well to bad for you. like i was saying thes racehorses are some of the most hard worked athletes ever, not only that but they risk their lives every time they run, today race horses get raced in like 5 races and there off to the kentucky derby, they only live a coupple years. THESE ANIMALS ARE BYE FAR THE GREATEST ATHLETES OF ALL TIME! PERIOD END OF STORY! i should know i have a horse and she know where were gonna run, were flyin!.

       To the idiot that stated that Secretariat is not an athlete, he most certainly is and one of the best, for his information, Secretariat was ridden with a hand ride, meaning he dictated his own pace.

       This is a horse not an athlete! This animal was faster than the other horses but nothing else. It would have done anything if it was not for the human(athlete) on its back.
