Walter Payton

       Walter Payton was one of the best ever running backs and played exclusively for the Chicago Bears from 1975 to 1987.  He was known as "Sweetness" for his sweet talent and disposition.  He racked up some unbelievable statistics in his day - nine time Pro Bowl player, six time first team All Pro, two MVP Player of the Year Awards and a member of the Champion Superbowl XX team.  His rushing record was broken only by Emmit Smith of the Dallas Cowboys in 2002.  "Sweetness" was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 1993.
