Wilt "the Stilt" Chamberlain broke every statistical record in basketball and was the first basketball player to be paid $100,000.00 a year while with the Boston Celtics for his talent on the courts. He moved on to Philadelphia and earned so much for the 76'ers that he rented an apartment in New York and flew into Phillie for practice and home games. Later, as a Laker, his salary was $1.5 million. And talk about record breaking achievements, still on the personal life side of the the Stilt, he wrote in his autobiography that he had slept with no less than 20,000 women. This is undoubtedly an exaggerated figure (who counts?) but anyone who knew him will agree that he was quite the womanizer. Wilt never married, so it is true he was free to wander. His personal life was rather flamboyant. He owned several expensive vintage cars and a house in the expensive Bel Air area of Los Angeles that was referred to as "Ursa Major." All these records off the court never hurt his records on the court, however, and that is what Wilt Chamberlain should always be remembered for.

Wilt the stilt is definately my favourite basketball player. Just look at records held for basketball. Most points in one game? Chamberline -100. he's got a place on almost all other bball records too.
