Most
readers of John Milton would think of paradise lost or paradise regained upon seeing the author's name. I
think of his areopogetica, a brilliant treatise against censorship of the printed word. Milton was
no stranger to censorship himself, having had many pamphlets of his censored because they dealt with a touch
subject in those days, divorce. Any writer speaking his voice in print as an advocate of divorce could
not publish his work. The line I will never forget from areopogetica goes something like "who will censor
the censors?" To me, that says it all.
