Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin
Franklin was one of America's more brilliant and innovative statesmen. He was not a man of privelege.
He grew up as a poor son of a working class family and worked in his brother's print shop from an early age.
All that withstanding, his inventions include bifocals, electricity, the Franklin stove and the odometer. He
was a man of great humor and a man of the world. At a time when it was extremely difficult to travel, Mr.
Franklin traveled to Europe many times and became a well-known American statesman on that continent as well.
His contribution to the United States Declaration of Independence is as much as more so than any of the original
signers. We need a man of his humor, reason, and brilliance today. I keep looking but I can't find
him.
