John F. Kennedy

John
Fitzgerald Kennedy has been called a fraud, a womanizer, a political product of his father Joe's influence only
without merit on his own and a statesman interested solely in the prestige and political clout of his famous Irish
Catholic family. Some of those characterizations are undoubtedly true. What I remember and care
most fervently about JFK was his leadership ability. He pulled a country together that was not altogether on
his side. He made us proud to be Americans and to have him in the highest office. His family showed us
what grace under fire was like after he was assassinated. He was truly a president who cared about the
welfare of every citizen of the United States and the world. His ambition was not to further his political
agenda but to make the world a better place. I believe he did.
