Leonardo Da Vinci

Leonardo Da
Vinci was far more than the painter of the famous "Mona Lisa" which hangs in a special spot in the Louvre.
One look at his drawings reveal that he is a man of science as well as art. His sketches regarding air travel
had to influence Orville and Wilbur Wright who took them and ran. Actually, Da Vinci may have been the most
curious man who ever lived. His interests went to music, science, art, geography, mathematics, philosophy and
politics. Unfornately for us, he left little of his genius behind in written or drawn form. Fortunately
for us, he left enough to enlighted us as to his great inventions, art and engineering feats. He conceptualized a
helicopter, a tank, focused on solar power, the calculator and a primitive look at plate tectonics. His mind
was not faith based, but scientific and empirical and his vegetarianism due to his love of animals were without
precedent in the time he lived. The man was a marvel.
