Mother Teresa

Mother
Theresa healed a lot of sick people in India in her time. What was missing in her humanatarianism was
teaching them how to not get sick. She did very little to help her village clean up the water, or dispose of
filth properly. Being Catholic, she did nothing to promote birth control among women, most of whom were
extremely overburdened physically, financially and emotionally by birthing numerous children, even though childhood
mortality is at a very high rate in India. She should have read and practiced the old Chinese proverb "If you
give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will eat for a lifetime."
She could also have followed Dr. Frank Laubach's practice for literacy in a tribe in the Phillipines which goes
something like "each one teach one" to spread the message to as many people as possible.
