The Guitar

       Without the guitar, there would be no rock and roll, no folk music, no Spanish guitar music and no square dancing, and the worst of thse to be without would of course be rock and roll.  Think Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton of rock and roll and blues.  Think of Willie Nelson who made the leap from country to folk to rock and roll to blues and R & B.  Modern music would have no soul without the guitar.  Spanish guitar music is in a class by itself, not rock and roll or any of the modern sounds.  It has its own unique, mysterious, haunting quality that owes it all to the guitar.  Harsh notes do not exist on the that fine instrument.  Even when played like Jimi did, it has a more mellow than raucus tonal quality.  Okay, he played the electiric guitar.  Whoever invented the guitar made the electric guitar possible.  We owe him/her a lot for giving us that gift.
