Spike Lee

       Spike Lee's films have his stamp on every one of them whether drama or comedy.  He takes great characters and makes them better.  School Daze and Jungle Fever were hilarious, but even most of his more serious films are tinged with humor.  The exception to the humor are those great dramas Malcolm X and Inside Man which is a crime/drama.  I remember Malcolm X, he lived in my time and made a lot of waves.  Spike Lee's film gave me much more insight than the media of the time ever did.  Inside Man was a complex crime drama that Mr. Lee handled with great artistry.  Then again, you can never go wrong with Denzel Washington.  Spike and Denzel together?  Dynamite!
