Woody Allen

       Woody Allen's famous neuroses come out in his movies big time.  I think he would be the first to confirm that.  He makes no secret of his neuroses.  It would be hard to keep such strong indiosyncrasies to himself.   At any rate, it makes his films unique and for the most part really good.  He can get ideep nto his characters' personalities and personal quirks and how this drives their behavior.  My vote is for Hannah and Her Sisters as his best film, but Sleeper was no slouch either or Husbands and Wives.  Woody Allen is also an award winning screenwriter and playwright.  There may be nothing this goofy little creative artist can't do.  His openness is rare and appealing.  I hope he continues to work for a long time to come.
