8 1/2 directed by Federico Fellini(1963) 

       "8 1/2" may be an autobiographical movie of Frederico Fellni.  The movie concerns a film director, played by Marcello Mastroianni (God, how I miss him!) who is tenuously clinging to the idea that he is a brilliant artist.  He gets stuck with a director's block while attempting to film his latest movie, a science fiction piece.  As Guido, the director, Mastroianni  tries to direct the film anyway.  He undergoes a series of flashbacks and remembered dreams that get mixed up with the reality of his life even as he is trying to wrap up his movie.  It's a movie you have to stay on track with to understand what is real and what isn't, but it's well worth the focus.
