"Breakfast at Tiffany's" the movie was not at all true to Truman Copote's novelette
of the same name. In the book Holly Golightly was an attractive lady serving as a go-between to a man in
prison who hired her to bring him news and other things occasionally. She was definitely a New Yorker in
style and was not nearly the sophisticated lady portrayed by Audrey Hepburn in the film. Both Hollys were
dreamers and felt the future would hold something dazzling, naive as that may seem, particularly for a New York
denizen. The fact that the movie does not resemble the book doesn't make it a bad movie. It
isn't. The title should have been changed to reflect something other than Capote's fine story. Maybe
something like "Moon River" would be more apt.
