Heat
Heat directed by Michael Mann(1995)

What this movie had was two superb actors playing off each other in Robert DeNiro and
Al Pacino. The plot centers around a criminal (DeNiro) and a cop (Pacino). Their scenes togther make
the movie, although there is one memorable scene on a Hollywood Hills balcony between DeNiro and his girlfriend,
that helps define DeNiro's character. The screen writer has a terrific scene in a diner where the two men
engage in conversation like good friends, even though they are involved in a cat and mouse game of
get-the-criminal.
