Raiders of the Lost Ark

Raiders of the Lost Ark directed by Steven Speilberg(1981) 

       Raiders of the Lost Ark -  what a romp of a movie!  I think Nancy Allen added as much to this movie as all the special effects, director (the magnicifent Steven Spielberg) and the raider himself, Harrison Ford.  Nancy Allen played the part of the tough adventuress to perfection, even in a bridal gown in the sheik's tent.  One of the many mindblowing scenes this over-the-top movie had to offer.  The territory tthe Raider covered from the drinking scenes in the high mountain inn to the Nazi's in the desert made this a gloriously watchable film.  I could care less about the ark itself.  It was the characters, the scenery and the dialog between the characters that made this movie the paragon of entertainment that it was.  The sequels were fun, but the original Raiders had it all.
