Slumdog
Millionaire has been criticized for glorifying bad behavior. On the other hand, it also could have been
glorified for portraying the boy's resourcefulness. What I think is if you haven't been in their shoes, you
won't understand the lengths one will go to attempt to climb out of a life of destitute poverty as these people had
in the slums of India. The cinematography in this movie was excellent for portraying the vast landscape of
the slum district without turning the audience's stomach. The audience wanted to see success in the lead
character and his friends as well as the entire village. If this movie served to alert people as to how a
vast number of people live in many areas of the globe, not just India, it has done its
job.
