       This film is pitch perfect in tone, story telling and cinematography. The story is one of pain, hope, and ultimate freedom. There is no better feel good movie. The characters are brilliant and each has their own story to tell. The acting is second to none. I cannot think of a better film. The Godfather is great...actually its perfect as well...but Shawshank keeps you mesmerised throughout.

       A great movie. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman give stellar performances and are supported by a great cast of supporting players. I loved the heroes. I hated the bad guys. A good tale of the triumph of the human spirit. See it.
