       Both artists can be credited with MAJOR change in the realm of Hip Hop, but I honestly think it was Ice Cube that really stood out and inspired as much change as has taken place ... (not that Dre wasn't 'in it') ... just that it took longer before Dre's mark was felt.

Either way though ... cool to see one of their names on the list!

       Dr.Dre first appeared on the scene with NWA as a great producer and occasional performer for the group. He then went solo and dropped his first solo album 'The Chronic' on Death Row Records which is held as the best produced hip-hop record ever made and personally my favourite. He discovered a Long Beach rapper Snoop Doggy Dog (now Snoop Dogg) and he appeared with many cameos on 'The Chronic'.

       Dr.Dre then produced all of Snoop's debut album 'Doggystyle' which was a huge hit and is hailed by critics and fans as a classic. He then produced some songs on other rappers albums on Death Row such as 2Pac's All Eyez On Me and other songs. He then left Death Row to create his own label 'Aftermath'.

       Then he dropped his second solo album '2001' which is also held in high regard to hip-hop fans. Since then he has discovered artists like Eminem and 50 cent which have become very sucessful. Dr.Dre to me is the best hip-hop producer of all time, he is an OK rapper too but production is what he does best. He is now working on his third and final solo album 'Detox' which everyone in the hip-hop community is anticipating.
