       Whitney Houston when she first came to the public ear in 1985 with her  debut album release was an absolute sensation.  She is gifted with a voice rivaling her cousin'Dionne Warwick and her godmother Aretha Franklin.  My oh my what a group!  Whitney went on dazzling audiences for years acting, singing for recordings and doing live performances.  Her voice is clear and passionate.  She has a fine ability to move her audience sometimes to get up and dance and sometimes to contemplate.  In later years, Whitney Houston and that powerful, rich mezzo-soprano dissolved into drugs and downfall.  Her last album release in 2009 I Look to You shows off her remarkable voice once again.  Lucky for us, her life didn't destroy her voice.  Hopefully she is on the comeback trail and we can once again enjoy her colossal talents.  I wish her the best.
