Best 100 Non-Fiction Books of All Time

A book written in an introspective style by the philospher and Emporer of Rome.  Marcus Aurelius was a practicing stoic, a philosophy that grew from the Epicureans.  At first glance, the book appears to be meditations and philosophies for mature manhood that Marcus Aurelius intended to have written for himself.  That may very well have been his intention in the beginning of his 10 years of writing.  But the genius in his writing is that he wrote in a prose that intentionally draws a reader in to influence his/her own beliefs whether or not they are aware.

As a book based in deep philosophy, it is incredibly practical, applicable to every day life.  It is described by some as the world's first "self-help" book.
