The Communist Manifesto

Review of The Communist Manifesto by Carl Marx

Best 100 Non-Fiction Books of All Time

To think that this slim little volume of ideas toppled an aristocratic social structure and ushered in a period for one of the greatest nations on Earth (I'm talking about RUSSIA, y'all!), as well as its many satelllites....the effects are still with us today....I read this for a high school project and was surprised at how small the book was....the ideas were forcefully made and ACTUALLY MADE SENSE when you stopped to think of them...Although I am older now and believe that greed is an unfortunate human trait and will never go away ( this is why communism cannot work as a long-term solution), I am still appreciative of two men's attempts (Marx and Engels) to provide some measure of dignity and humanity for the underclasses of society...I do believe this book will continue to be read by people desperate to change their plight and it will continue to have its own peculiar influence...
