       I am pleased to see this great book on the list but i am disappointed to see it so low as this is without a doubt one of the best books i have ever read.

       This is easily the best work of fiction ever created in the history of the genre.

       No one has ever wrote with so much ease into the ill infested world as blood and baby killing, Indian scalping, senseless murders as McCarthy has here.  And the 'judge' is one of the best fictional characters ever.  McCarthy has many mysterious characters in this novel.

       It's just so well written, beautifully barbaric in it's brutality.  A must read, as are most of his books.  No one has captured the true essence of darkness, in it's reality, as McCarthy has.

       Easily the most violent book I've ever read and just as easily the best book I've ever read except for McCarthy's 'The Road'.

       This is probably the best novel of the last 30 years. It's not fun, but it is beautifully grueling, gruesome and profound. McCarthy's more recent work is easier to read, but this is his masterpiece, or at least the masterpiece that towers over his other masterpieces.
