Nine elevenths are ninety-nine, nine twelfths are a hundred and
eight, nine thirteens are a hundred and seventeen, nine
fourteenths are a hundred and twenty-six. The sun burnt every
day. It burnt Time . . . Time was busy burning the years and
the people anyway, without any help from him. So if he burnt
things with the firemen and the sun burnt Time, that meant that
everything burnt! These are actual quotes from the book. This
book sucks!

This book was one of the best ones I've
ever taken the time to read. I got it assigned as an english
reading assignment and usually school books suck, but this one
was so awesome! The whole idea behind it was just ingenoius,
and the symbolism was incredible! Like the symbol of fire and
how it "burns away education". I thought that was just genious.
For my summer reading book I plan on reading 1984 which I hope
is just as swell!

This book is one of the
best I have ever read. I was at first a little skeptical about
reading it, but it was great. It makes me feel that I am glad
we can have books to read. Now that I have read it, I would
like to read others like it like 1984 by George Orwell or A
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.

One of the best written books of all-time. Largely
underappreciated for its spectacularly written prose and
intense distopian plot. Featuring, in my opinion
the single greatest opening paragraph ever written, this
novel captures true artistic writing. Even if the
plot were not engaging and heartbreakiing, (the
simplistic delivery of Clarisa's death is heartbreaking)
the writing alone make this novel worth being on any top
list.
Bradbury does not get the respect he deserves, he is
among the greatest writers we have ever had the priviledge of
reading and this is his best work. Also not to be missed
is Something Wicked this way comes and really anything else
that he has written.
This is the best of the distopian novels and anyone looking for
a great research paper can easily find tons to compare with
this and brave new world by Aldous Huxley.
If you have
not read ray Bradbury you are failing in your quest to enjoy
some truly great prose. Why are you still reading this,
go get this novel and begin reading it now. Go on, I'm
not kidding.

A masterpeice. Bradbury's style of writing is utterly
amazing. The messages he sends through this book are
thought provoking and insightful. Sadly, the world we
live in is becoming more and more like the world Bradbury
depicted.

This book was the most boringest book i have ever
read. It took my group in school about 3 to 4
months to get through it. Ray described the
simplest things into such detail that was unneed.
He made a simple knocking over a bottle about 2
paragraphs. But someone who can do that i guess has
skill.
The overall meaning of the
book that a society cannot run on no knowledge was
intriguing.
