Love in the Time of Cholera

Review of Love in the Time of Cholera by
Gabriel Garcia Marquez

The novel
was, indeed, carrying a propulsive force that can move
the reader's mind. Although the story shows a common
lesson with regards to love, it was narrated in a
magnificent and tactile way that is not present in all
love stories. Among all of the romance novels that I
read, I could say that this is the one I like the most;
personally because of its uniqueness and powerful
lucidity. It was very unusual to have characters in a
love story that are already close to dying (in means of
age) and yet, it was presented in one of the best types
delivery.

The
characters are uncommonly flawed which makes them even
more endearing. There's a message of "what
could have been" , "the power of true love" and " a life
of sacrifice for the love of your life". Well
written with a few unexpected twists. I enjoyed the
book not only because of the flow, but the anticipation
of a marvelous ending. Won't
disappoint!!!
