Rebecca is a story of love and acceptance. The
heroine (whose name is unknown) begins the book with a flashback to her life with husband, Maxim. She met him
while she was traveling and after a few months they married. After the wedding the two moved back to his
mansion, Manderley. The heroine finds life there wonderful, when she isn't under the shadow of Maxim's first
wife, Rebecca. The family and staff at the mansion are for the most part helpful and supportive, except for
one, Mrs. Danvers. The book is of the heroines struggle for love and acceptance by Maxim through trials that
no woman should have to ecounter.
It is a good book that will have you in a world of imagination and will make
you build your own personal Manderley.
