Nice to see Eco getting some love. Where is
Focault's Pendulum though? Anyway the name of the
rose is a great book. Please dont be turned off by
the christian slater movie that was made from this
wonderful text. I know it is cliche but the book is
a whole hell of a lot better than the
movie.
Now I want to appologize to any Eco fans for what Im
about to say.... If you like the da vinci code you
will love this book. Not that this is in the same
ball park as dan brown but I think it was this book that
made it possible for dan brown even to exist. Dan
brown books are like a copy of a copy of this
book.
Not a must read, but a very entertaining read. I
recommend highly.
