The very first time I read this book was when I
was 11 years old...I didn't understand about D'Artagnan and his love affairs with Constance and Milady and
had to grow up to chuckle at his comic misadventures with these two and the tragic endings....but, even at
eleven, I was COMPLETELY captivated...the book is STILL on my shelf (I have had many copies since that time)
and I STILL think that it is one of the best books ever....fighting, love, comedy, tragedy, travel, good,
evil, saints, sinners, the English, the French, Cardinal Richelieu, this book has got it all! Now, if we just
have a really good movie version of the book (the only one WORTH watching is Richard Lester's 1973 version),
things will be PERFECT...
I am even willing my copy to my nieces and
nephews, by the way, along with Alice in Wonderland...these are the two must-haves for anyone's
shelf.

This book is and absolute thrill, it has
everything needed: comedy, action, adventure, romance. Everything that almost anyone would want to read. It
is simply stunning and a total delight. Anyone and everyone should read this book. Everyone in my office at
our "headquarters" as we call it is in utter agreement it is simply outstanding well done by the
author. I mus say also, a poor job of the director who produced the movie "three muskateers" for this
book is so delightful adn the movie (as usual) does not capture the same essence as the book
does.
