The Unbearable Lightness of Being
by Milan Kundera
Review of The Unbearable Lightness of
Being by Milan Kundera

This novel
is an intellectual, philosophical exploration of a list
of themes three times the size of that of most common
novels. The book circulates around four central
characters, whose lives cross over in various ways.
Kundera intelligently and interestingly looks at
politics, gender, life and much else with his addictive
sharp-minded style. The novel is as addictive as
literature can be, and if you go back and re-read it, the
experience shows you things you had not previously
realised and makes you wonder wether its even possible to
understand this book entirely. Highly original and a
piece of art, The Unbearable Lightness of Being is just
incredible.
