       Bruce Springsteen is a chronicler of teen age years for everyone everywhere, but especially in working class urban areas.  "Born to Run" is a teen age anthem.  Remember when you were that age and all you wanted to do was escape from wherever you lived, whomever you lived with and set out and be free using your own resourcefulness?  That is what "Born to Run" is all about.  It really doesn't matter if you are a rural teenager or an urban one, you at some point knew you would be better off on your own with your own dazzling brilliant mind and sophistication beyond your years leading you into fame and contentment.  And The Boss did it so musically with such pertinent lyrics!
