       Bridge Over Troubled Waters is unique because it is not a love song, not even a romantic song.  Simon & Garfunkel wrote and sang this unforgettable song in the early 1970's and I've been singing it often ever since (to myself-don't want to burden those around me with my obnoxious non-musical ear).  Bridge Over Troubled Waters is about long lasting love.  The kind my parents love was made of.  They were married 67 years and never even thought of splitting.  They were each others Bridge Over Troubled Waters ever since they met in 1936.  This song is for them and every one to whom the word "love" means forever.
