       This song is over-rated, over-played its really not that appealing to me after the first time of listening to it.

       Just the shout (representing the feeling of a whole generation) that marks the transition of the song towards the final coda makes it worthy of that place. The song is a landmark. It gives hope, the melody cannot be better, the four basic instruments of pop music balanced, and 42 years later we all still sing it.

       I think Hey Jude is a beautiful song. I feel that I should post this to get the facts straight. No, it's not about Yoko. Paul McCartney wrote it for John Lennon's son Julian, because John and Julian's mom Cynthia were getting a divorce. No offense, but why would Paul McCartney write about Yoko back then? He pretty much hated her in the 60s. And I agree about it being repetitive though lol. But I still love the song :)

       can't believe this made # 1, in my humble opinion, this song is thw worst beatles song ever! its extremely repetive, simplistic, annoying and about Yoko! where are all the good beatles songs?
