Arrested Development

Oh my God, If I didn't know better, I would swear that "Arrested Develpment" was
written by a member of my family after taking notes and making videos. This is classic dysfunctional family
hilarity. For those of who are familiar with the show but unfamiliar with its Orange County California
setting, there really is a frozen banana stand at the Fun Zone in Balboa Island and there really is a "Pageant of
the Masters" held every year in Laguna Beach where masterpieces of art such as "The Last Supper" and "The Raft of
the Medusa" are portrayed with living models posed against an appropriate background. The line from one of
the episodes that I will never forget because it could have been said in my family meetings by the one sane member
at the time is "This is a difficult family to get focused." Amen. The cast is faultless, the writing is
intelligent, hilarious and relevant to at least one family member out there watching it. I'm sure there are
many more fans for which this remarkable show strikes a chord.
