Columbo

Colombo and Peter Falk are inseparable. The iconic Colombo seems like something
of a bumbling investigator, but don't let that fool you. He's sharp as a tack behind all that waffling.
Besides Mr. Falk, what makes this detective show so different from any other is that the crime and the
perpetrator(s) are known to the audience from the begiining of each episode. It is up to the bumbling,
disheveled, seemingly naive Lt Colombo to sort out the the whys, whos and hows that brought the crime about.
His humble, modest manner fools the villains as well as his co-workers investigating the crime. Each episode
is almost movie length, over one hour to two hours. I enjoyed watching it because of the unusual
character of Colombo as well as the unusual crime show format. The last episode appeared in
2003.
