Law and Order

       There are lots of good things about Law and Order from its beginning through its entire run.  There must have been something good about this very popular show as it spun off into Law and Order: SVU, Law and Order: CI and Law and Order:CSI.  Those are also very worth watching.  Dick Wolf, the producer  of all of them really has something here.  The stories are too fascinating to leave, week after week.  The cast is engaging and, for the most part, long running so the audience can connect with them.  True, no one can replace the extraordinarily talented, wry Jerry Orbach, but the show continues on with various actors cast in the detective role and all have been eminently watchable.  What really keeps it going though, is the writing that can sometimes take a plot twist and leave you gasping.  There is a sameness about it that never gets boring, only comfortable and always worth watching.
