Six Feet Under

Film noir for television, this strange tale of a family-owned funeral home and the
family that runs it proves once and for all that death can be entertaining. The cast is a group of total
misfits living in Santa Monica, California in a misfit business with misfit lives. This sounds anything but
entertaining, but the tremendous cast, direction and writing elevate this show to the do-not-miss level. It
does demand that attention be paid to everything that is said between the characters in each segment. There
is much dark humor and pithy intelligence in the dialog in every one of them. The oddball characters are
quite lovable leading up to one of the greatest last episodes of all time where the future of each of the cast
members is shown to the audience up to their last breaths. Surprising entertainment. It won't
come again.
