The Wire

       This may be the best show ever on television.  It's use of real people in roles, even though not a reality show, added to its raw grittiness.  I haven't been a part of the New York drug scene, but this puts me right in the middle of it.  This may also be the show that demanded the most courage of its producers.  Surprising that this great series got by the usual milquetoasts that are responsible forn television programming.
