The Wonder Years

The Wonders Years explored the lives of pre-teenagers, their feelings and
adventures. The episodes are a series of flashbacks as the grown up Kevin Arnold (Fred Savage, as a youth)
reminisces about life in the pre-teen years and what happened to make him the way he is. Interestingly, his
early life, like all of our early lives, was not all fun and games. This is not really a sit com. More
of a realistic look into life from ages 10 to 13 with all the awkwardness, losses, successes and learning
experiences that befall us all as adolescent human beings. The scenes with the lead girl Winnie Cooper,
played by Danica McKellar, are especially poignant in their awkwardness. Funny, perhaps, but too real for a
LOL.
