Three's Company

       Besides the stars, Suzanne Somers, John Ritter, and Joyce De Witt, there were a number of cameo roles played by famous TV names.  The show centered around three roomates, two females and a male and the foibles such a menage a trois bring on by outsiders who are not aware of the platonic nature of the roommates.  Anyone living in Santa Monica, California where Three's Company takes place can testify to the fact that to pay the rent, you have to have roommates.  Norman Fell and Audra Lindley as their landlords and neighbors added a lot to the episodes which were really funny.  The writing and directing on this show, like the actors were well above average.  I'd like to see it again to see if it holds up in todays world where mixed gender living accomodations are hardly newsworthy.  Like so many fine sitcoms, this one was imported from the BBC.
