Weeds

The opening song over the titles "Ticky Tacky Boxes" explains it all, except the dope
dealing member of proper suburbia. Mary Louise Parker is terrific as the struggling, divorced single mother
who has made a successful business for herself selling weed to anyone who will buy. Her hand picked team of
assistants are equally professional in the service they provide to customers. This could have been a crime
story, a soap opera, a comment on social mores or just simply an objectionable TV series. It is none of
them. Mary Louise Parker play sthe pusher as if she were an Avon Lady. The story line and everyone in
this series brings it off like they are all normal every day people doing normal every day work. That is what
makes the inevitible situations they find themselves in all the more interesting and entertaining. You may
think you know your neigbors, think again.
